Jason Kelce's ESPN contract details emerge after Philadelphia Eagles legend's retirement

Prior to ESPN winning him over, media behemoths like Amazon, CBS, and NBC were rumored to be chasing Kelce's signature.  

According to the U.S. Sun, Fox Sports was also considering a three-year, $6 million bid. But after being persuaded by ESPN's offer to give him "full freedom"   

"New Heights" podcast with his brother, Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, Kelce concluded that the network was his best option.  

"I did my due diligence, you want to make sure you're really looking at things, talking to people that are knowledgeable in the industry  

neither one of us have ever done something like this," he said Jason.  

"Throughout the whole process, meeting and talking to everyone over at ESPN, it became apparent that it was really the right fit and at the end of the day,  

something that I'm really, really looking forward  

Kelce is expected to ink a large contract after retiring, his move from the NFL to ESPN is creating waves.   

After a stellar 13-year career, the former center for the Philadelphia Eagles will return to "Monday Night Countdown" in the 2018 campaign.
